About

I believe that the more you understand your body and its connection to your mind, the healthier you can choose be. This encompassing approach sums up my philosophy of practice: in order to help you become your healthiest, we’ve got to look at the whole person, including your body, mind, and spirit. That’s why your participation is key. I trust that you’ll ask questions, seek out resources, and do your best as we partner in your progression towards better health. I recommend that you take an active role and I promise to do my best in guiding you to your optimal functional level.

I’ve been practicing PT since 2002 and have a wealth of experience in the areas of persistent chronic pain, functional restoration, multidisciplinary care, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics and neurology. I have worked in private practice, worker’s compensation and hospital-based systems. I am the Director of the Pain Science Fellowship for Evidence in Motion and the Lead PT for Kaiser Permanente’s Northern California region in Pain Medicine. I received my Master’s in Physical Therapy from Chapman University, a DPT from UCSF/SFSU’s Graduate Program in Physical Therapy, and completed a Fellowship in Pain Science in 2019. In addition to actively practicing PT, I also teach continuing education courses and regularly speak at national conferences including the San Diego Pain Summit, PainWEEK, and ALIGN. I have a deep love of mindfulness, yoga therapy, Tai Chi, somatic movement retraining and spiritual direction. I’m a mother, yogi, runner, agent of change and life-long learner.

Please don’t hesitate to stay connected. The quality of your health is our mutual priority. Cheers to your health!
